It is Dr. Audell's belief
that "a patient can be a more active participant in her healthcare when she is informed about her medical status and
the different options available to her."
The physicians at Orange
Coast Women's Medical Group encourage their patients to ask questions. Dr. Audell credits today's greater level of
patient-physician communication to the public's desire for more information
regarding their health.
Dr. Audell received her undergraduate degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Then she graduated Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed her postgraduate training there as well.
She has lived in Orange County since starting in practice in 1983. She has been an active medical staff member at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center. Through the years she has served as Chairman of the Women’s and Children’s Credentials Committee, Chairman of the Practitioner’s Well-being Committee, and has been Vice Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff at Saddleback Memorial Medical Center.
She has also served on the California Birth Defects Monitoring Program Advisory Committee, which oversaw the largest birth defects registry in the world. She has been active in the Cooperative of American Physicians-Mutual Protection Trust by serving as a member of the OB/GYN Peer Review Committee, the Obstetrical Claims Review Committee, and she has been a member of their Board of Directors.
Dr. Audell has a special interest in perimenopausal and menopausal women's issues. She enjoys fly fishing with her husband, who is a Geologist.
